Patricia Ann Canter, 73, Telford passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 16, 2020 at her residence. She was a native of Johnson City and was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Goldie Mae Combs Leach. She was a longtime member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church in Elizabethton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Tony Ray Canter; two brothers, Bill Leach and Thomas Leach; a sister, Janice Lunsford. Survivors include her husband, Harvey H. Canter; two sons, Westley Canter and wife, Julie of Jonesborough and Phillip Canter and wife, Rachel of Sevierville; a sister, Brenda Kay Canter and husband, Larry of Johnson City; a brother, Terry Dean Leach of Johnson City; grandchildren, Manuella Wallin, Harvey Wayne Canter, Deborah Canter, Westley Canter Jr. and Mercedes Canter; six great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Canter will be conducted at 7:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2020 in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Jonesborough. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Wallin, Harvey W. Canter, Stacy Whitaker, Chris Nelson, Timmy Leach, Dean Leach and Dustin Whitaker. For those attending this service you are asked to meet there by 9:50 AM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to help with the funeral expenses. This lady has been my sister in law for as long as I can remember. I have known her my whole life and I'm 54. She will truly be missed. To her immediate family, my brother and nephews & families, my love to you all. And know you're in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all.
