Evelyn Elizabeth Shepherd

Evelyn E. Shepherd, 82, Erwin, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in the Unicoi County Hospital. She was a native of Burnsville, North Carolina and was a daughter of the late Rev. Ebb Wheeler and Eddie Letterman Wheeler. Evelyn retired from Ballantine Equipment Company in Greenville, SC. After retirement she returned to Erwin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Shepherd; a brother, Adam C. Wheeler; two sisters, Wanda Cooper and Margaret Morrow. Survivors include five sisters, Henrietta Anderson of Mars Hill, NC, Lida Gill of Greenville, SC, Faith Higgins of Erwin, Sally Cole and husband, Calvin of Weaverville, NC and Kathy Callahan of Erwin; a brother, E.L. Wheeler and wife, Queenie of Erwin; a brother-in-law, Tom Morrow of Burnsville, NC; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Evelyn will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2020 in the Maranatha Tabernacle, 300 Maranatha Lane, Unicoi, TN 37692 with Her Brother, Pastor E.L.
