Wilma K. Grindstaff, age 70, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 following a lengthy illness.  A native of Johnson City, she was a daughter of the late Butler and Gladys Eliza McInturff Mottern.  Mrs. Grindstaff was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Grindstaff was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Klein; an infant sister, Phyllis Mottern, and sister Geraldine Pinkston. Survivors include her husband, Charlie Grindstaff, Johnson City; one daughter, Kelly Grindstaff, Johnson City; one grandson, Nicholas Klein, Virginia; two brothers, Charles Mottern and wife Karen, California, Bill Mottern and wife Vicki, Greeneville, TN.  Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mrs. Grindstaff will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Monday, November 27, 2017 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Deaton officiating.  The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of Appalachian Funeral Home. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday from Washington County Memory Gardens.  Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.  Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 A.M.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.wadugger.com.  Woodall-Anderson & Dugger Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 108 W. I graduated with Wilma from BCHS in 1965. Wilma was a very nice classmate and one of my friends. After graduation we lost touch.. My husband moved out of state for 25 years.. Sorry for your loss24
