Willie "W.C." Joe Cardwell Jr.

January 8, 1945 - April 19, 2022

Willie “W.C. Cardwell Jr., 77, Johnson City passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at his residence with his family at his side. He was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a son of the late Willie Cardwell Sr. and Mary Lee Osborne Crowe. W.C. was the owner and operator of W.C. Locksmith for many years. He was a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Army. W.C. loved his NASCAR and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. W.C. spent a lot of his time repairing old cars. He loved his fur baby, Gracie but most of all he loved the Lord. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Crowe and a step-brother, Paul Crowe. Survivors include his loving wife, Ruth Brown Cardwell; his children, Patricia Diane White, Michael Wayne Cardwell and his wife, Ashley, Jessica Ann Winnie, Cloiea Lonea Cardwell and her fiancé, Logan Cramer, Trinity Marina Cardwell and Joseph Saults; a step-brother, Jerry Crowe; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services for W.C. will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 28, 2022 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home , 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Chaplain Stephen Spell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the service hour. Graveside service will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends.
