William Joseph Davis

Obit for William Joseph Davis (no photo) William Joseph Davis, 69, 1039 Bloomingdale Pike, Kingsport passed away Thursday, April 30, 2014 in the Indian Path Medical Center. He was a native of Johnson City where he had lived most of his life until moving to Kingsport in 2007. Mr. Davis was a son of the late Jack and Opal Sykes Davis. He retired from the Kingsport Press and was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Johnson City. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Davis; two sisters, Vera Davis and Agnes Turner; four nephews, Thomas and Terry Davis and David and Don Turner. Survivors include a brother, Jerry Davis and wife, Phyllis of Johnson City; seven nephews, Bob, Rich, Tony and Tim Davis, Richard Turner, Matthew and Madison Cannon; a niece, Becky Reece; a special friend, Mark Cannon; A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
