Wanda Blankenship

Wanda F. Blankenship, age 74, of 303 W. Watauga Ave., Johnson City, TN, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. A lifelong native of Washington County, she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Debby Collins Payne. Mrs. Blakenship loved her family and was a waitress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pearl Miller. Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Fitzgerald, Johnson City and Beth Foster, Unicoi; grandchildren, Toni Fitgerald, Tori Fitzgrald, Desmond Fitzgerald, all of Johnson City, Landon Phillips, Minnesota, Jameson Foster, Unicoi, and E.J. Foster, Unicoi; three great grandchildren, Mareic McKinney, Lily Rankin, and Kerriun Fitzgerald, all of Johnson City; brother, Ralph Payne, Johnson City; sister, Nola Walker, Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mrs Blankenship will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 28, 2013 in the chapel of Woodall-Anderson & Dugger Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Deaton officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. The graveside service and interment will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
