Tommie Sue Holden

Tommie Sue Holden, 72, of Johnson City went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 28, 2022 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a daughter of the late Jack R. Shipley Sr. and Juanita Ruby Gray Shipley. Tommie was an avid shopper and loved having her nails done. She loved all things DIY projects. Tommie was a feisty and loving mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Shipley and Don Shipley. Survivors include her son, Richard Lee Holden of Johnson City; a brother, Jack Richard Shipley Jr. of Johnson City; a sister, Margaret (Rooney) Hayes of Jonesborough; sister-in-law, Sharon Shipley; her best friend, Marsha Barnett of Jonesborough; also several nieces; several great nieces and great nephews.
