Tim William Hensley, 60, Johnson City passed away early Tuesday Morning, December 8, 2020 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born in Washington D.C. but had lived in Johnson City most of his life. Tim was a son of the late James William Hensley and Ida Louise Tipton Hensley. He was a very hard working man through his life. Tim loved to spend time with his four grandchildren. They were all he lived for and would spend every given moment with them. To know Tim is to know how good of a person he was to many. One of Tim’s many hobbies was riding his motorcycle, on any given day he would choose to ride his bike, rain or shine. Tim had worked for Northeast State College for many years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Stonecipher. Tim is survived by his two daughters, Amanda Hensley Lyons and husband, Chris of Johnson City and Ashley Hensley of Johnson City; his grandchildren, Andrew Hensley, Alijah Hensley, Lilly Everidge and Layla Lyons; his sister,, Tammy Keys and husband, Steve; a brother, Rick Dulaney; also several nieces and nephews. The family are planning on having a Celebration of Life Service for Tim at McKinley Memorial Bible Church, 3100 McKinley Road, Johnson City Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Please join the family in celebrating his life. We would love to hear the stories you have of our dad, so come prepared to share, laugh and remember those moments in his life. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations be made to the family or the funeral home to help cover funeral costs. Condolences may be made online at www.wadugger.com. I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many favorite memories of Tim but this past summer I think is one of my favorites with Tim we were just sitting and talking at our lake lot while we watched Mike mow the yard. We just sat there talking for a while enjoying the beautiful summer day. He was a great friend who loved his family and was always there for anyone who needed help. This world lost a very special person but we gained a guardian angel. Your friends Mike and Tracy

Amanda & Ashley - My favorite memories of Tim was when he worked in Police & Safety for Northeast State. His office was straight across from mine. You girls would come and visit and would always make a beeline for my office! I always had sweets and goodies for you! Your father was always so proud of you! Tim was a good friend to me and a good friend to everyone. I will always remember Tim's smile and his kindness! Not many people call me Deb unless they really know me. Tim called me Deb! Always remember his love for you and those grandchildren! Memories are forever!!! May God give you comfort and peace during this time! Much love, Debi Beverly
