Thursa Talbert

Thursa Talbert, 89, 1123 Hidden Valley Drive, Jonesborough passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 in the Christian Care Health Center of Johnson City. She was a native of Lake Lynn, Pennsylvania and was a daughter of the late Fleming and Anna Frankenbury Hostetler. Mrs. Talbert was a homemaker and a member of the New Orleans Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Henry Talbert in 1979; a son, James Talbert; a sister, Margaret Downey and a brother, William Hostetler. Survivors include seven children, Shirley Hinds and husband, Ernest of Jonesborough; Patrick Talbert and William Talbert both of Tampa, Donald Talbert of Lake Placid, FL, Thomas Talbert of Jonesborough, Gary Talbert and wife, Gigi of Douglasville, GA and Robert Talbert of Johnson City; a brother, Sam Hostetler of Uniontown, PA; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a special friend, Betty Liberty of Pittsburg, PA; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Talbert will be conducted at 1:30 PM Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the Chapel of Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Slagle officiating. Music will be provided by Mark Dugger. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 PM until the service hour. Private graveside services will be held at Monte Vista Memorial Park, Johnson City. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mark Williams and Dr. Paige McClanahan for the wonderful care they provided.
