Teresa Ann (Brock) Brooks

Teresa Ann Brooks, 64, of Piney Flats passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was a native of Kingsport and was a daughter of the late Robert and Audrey Godsey Brock. Teresa was a Medical Assistant for many years and was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the AAMA. Teresa was a 1971 graduate of Ketron High School in Kingsport. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved going to her grandkids ball games. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Brock.   Survivors include her loving husband, Jimmy Brooks; a son, Sam Henry and wife, April; a daughter, Amanda Reed and husband, Jonathan; a brother, Bobby Brock and wife, Donna; four grandchildren, Christian and Jaiden Henry and Hailey and Rylan Reed; several nieces; also special friends, Tommy, Glen and Kenny. Funeral services for Teresa will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Rev. Joe Hill officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Truxton Drive, Kingsport. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 AM.
