Stacy Michelle Yarber, 45, 109 Village Lane, Unicoi, a child of the most high God was called home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Elizabethton and had lived in Unicoi County for most of her life. Stacy was a member of the Buffalo Freewill Baptist Church and had attended and helped may other churches, including Unicoi Freewill Baptist, Hopson Chapel, Sunrise Freewill Baptist, West Park Freewill Baptist and Rich Acres Freewill Baptist Church and many more she loved. She loved to sing for the Lord and worship with her brothers and sisters in Christ. Stacy had worked for Winn-Dixie and Whites Food Market in the deli specializing in cake decorating. She was an avid UT football fan and loved to cook and try new recipes for her family. Stacy was preceded in death by her son, T.J. Yarber; a brother, Tommy Tolley and her paternal grandfather, Harry Yarber. Survivors include her father, John K. Yarber; her mother and step-father, Phyllis and Tom Landingham all of Unicoi; two sisters, Lutoria Gill and her husband, Jerry of Unicoi and Teresa Ray of Johnson City; a brother, Kenneth Ray and his wife, Brenda of Greeneville; step-mother, Geraldine Ray of Johnson City; paternal grandmother, Inis Yarber; paternal grandparents, Blake and Elsie Tolley of Unicoi; nieces and nephews, Holden, Chandera and Cassie Tolley, Dalton and River Gill, Nick, Jason and Trace Ray, Thomas Bryant and Jonah Black; also several aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral service for Stacy Yarber will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 11, 2012 in the Buffalo Valley Freewill Baptist Church located off Buckeye Road in Unicoi with the Rev. Dallas Gregg, Rev. Brett Jones, Rev. Steve Bennett and Rev. Charlie Trivette officiating. Burial will follow in the Buchanan Cemetery, Limestone Cove. Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Yarber, Justin Black, Tom Bryant, James Ayers, Steve Rainbolt, Christopher Yarber, Holden Tolley, Anthony Gregg, Thomas Bryant, Dalton Gill and Nick Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jones, Dr. Robbins, Dr. Jason Colinger, Christopher Sholes, Dwight Gregg and all of the members of the Unicoi County Volunteer Fire Department. The family will receive friends at the Buffalo Freewill Baptist Church, Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Also other times at the home of her grandparents, Blake and Elsie Tolley, 1008 Marbleton Road, Unicoi. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made in her name to the Freewill Baptist Family Ministries, 90 Stanley Lane, Greeneville, TN 37743 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
