Stacy Lynn Cordell, 44, of Johnson City passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 7, 2015 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. Stacy was a graduate of Science Hill High School and attended Northeast State and East Tennessee State University. She had worked for Century 21 in Real Estate for several years. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Buster and Charlotte Hilman and her paternal grandparents, Earl and Arline Cordell. Survivors include her mother, Carolyn Hilman Cordell of Johnson City; her father, Larry Cordell of West Palm Beach, FL; also several aunts and cousins. Funeral services for Stacy will be conducted at 2:00 Friday, December 11, 2015 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Ernest Widby officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery of Johnson City. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
