Shirley Bryant Honeycutt

Shirley Bryant Honeycutt, age 73, of Unicoi, TN, went home to join her Savior on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the residence of her daughter, Jan Adkins. A native of Johnson City, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Verna Edith Wilson Bryant. Mrs. Honeycutt was a member of Maranatha Tabernacle in Unicoi. She retired as an insurance agent with United American Globe Life, where she previously had won agent of the month. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Bill Honeycutt; second husband, Brown Ambrose; sisters, Betty Berry and Scharlene Higgins; brothers, Leroy Bryant and Bill Bryant. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jan Adkins and husband, John, Unicoi; one brother, Ted Bryant and wife Vikki, Johnson City; two sisters, Virginia Borton, Sorrento, Florida, and Joyce Whitehurst and husband Lloyd, Johnson City; special friends, Faith Higgins and Edna Brumett. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The celebration of life will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Maranatha Tabernacle, Unicoi with Pastor E.L Wheeler and Rev. Eugene Penland officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Maranatha Tabernacle. The graveside service and entombment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Roselawn Memory Gardens, Johnson City. Active pallbearers will be Larry Williams, Lloyd Whitehurst, David Adkins, Kermit Collins, Harlan Grindstaff, and Norman Combs. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Donlan, James Howell, Woody Powers, Danny Vance, Tracy McGlothlin, and Kyle Tipton.
