Scott K Gilley

Scott K. Gilley, 58, Johnson City, died Sunday, October 30, 2022, at his residence, following a lengthy illness. Scott was a native of Fargo, ND, and had been a resident of Johnson City since 1973. He was a 1982 graduate of Science Hill High School. Scott served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX, where he was a mechanic. Upon discharge from the military, he continued working as an auto mechanic until his rare health condition forced his early retirement. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Gilley, in 2019. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Gilley, Johnson City; his brother, Mark Gilley and wife Nancy, Fayetteville, NC; several aunts, uncles and cousins. In accordance with Scott’s wishes, he will be cremated. There will be no formal service.Read Obituary
