Sarah Evelyn Livingston

Sarah E. Livingston, 89, 519 Berry Ridge Road, Jonesborough went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 5, 2014 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a daughter of the late Toncary and Edna Ensor Douglas. Mrs. Livingston was a member of the Telford Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Douglas and his wife, Lena; also infant brothers and sister, William, Willard and Winnie Douglas; three grandchildren, David Livingston, Darby Phillips and Lesley Brewer. Survivors include a daughter, Mary E. Milhorn and husband, Bill of Gray; a son, David W. Livingston and wife, Trena of Jonesborough; a brother, John Douglas and wife, Geneva of Johnson City; a sister, Marie Reed of Morristown; grandchildren, Jerry Brewer and wife, Susie of Telford, Lakisha Caston and husband, Randy of Johnson City, Jeremy Brewer of Nashville and Tyler Livingston of Newport; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a step-granddaughter, Melissie Ray and husband, Michael of Johnson City; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Livingston will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in the Telford Baptist Church with Pastor Buddy Jones and Rev. Jerry Powers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in the Maplelawn Cemetery, Jonesborough. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM.
