Ruby Jean Ellis (Hilton) Bennett

Ruby Jean Ellis Bennett, 72, of Johnson City passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of San Marcos, Texas and was the daughter of the late Charles Arthur Hilton and Betty Baker Hilton Talley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Bennett; second husband, John Ellis; a grandson, Jerry Wayne “Jay” Bennett. Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Bennett Moody and husband, Andrew; a son, Charles Spencer Bennett Sr.; a grandson, Charles Spencer Bennett Jr.; a granddaughter, Tiffany Jeanelle Bennett all of Johnson City; a great-grandson Connor Bennett; a step-daughter, Christy Marie Dugger Ellis; special cousins, Richard Hilton and Lucy Emery. A memorial service for Mrs. Bennett will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Pathway Freewill Baptist Church, 401 Carolina Avenue, Erwin, TN 37650     with Rev. Matthew Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
