Roy Vernon “Buzz” Buchanan, 52, Johnson City passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Yancey County, North Carolina and was a son of Fannie Hughes Buchanan of Johnson City and the late Johnny Arvil Buchanan. Mr. Buchanan was employed with Jay Sweeney’s Auto for many years. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Bowman.Survivors in addition to his mother includes three brothers, John D. Buchanan and wife, Deborah, Mark Buchanan and wife, Marnita and Kevin Buchanan and wife, Regina; also may nieces and nephews.There will be a private family service held at a later date.Condolences may be made online at www.wadugger.com.
