Robert M. Culp, 76, 2807 S. Roan Street, Johnson City passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 9, 2013 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Milan, Tennessee and was the son of the late Robert and Doris Walker Culp. Mr. Culp was a graduate of ETSU and retired from Siemens' Corporation where he had worked as a computer software engineer. He was a member of the United Church of God. Mr. Culp was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served his country during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his three children, Tony Culp of Johnson City, Sherry Robbins of Milan, TN and Wayne Culp of Unicoi; three grandchildren, Misty Williams and husband, Michael of Lavinia, TN, Brad Culp of Newfoundland, Canada and Zachary of Unicoi; two great-grandchildren, Max Tucker and Michael Williams of Lavinia, TN; his ex-wife and mother of his children, Mary Viola Hartsfield of Newfoundland. Graveside services with Military Honors provided by the Boone Dam VFW Honor Guard Detail will be conducted at 1:45 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery with Pastor Stan Martin officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:30 PM then go in procession to the cemetery.
