Robert David Gould Jr., 75, of Elizabethton passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania and was a son of the late Robert David Gould Sr. and Florence Prusakowski Siezenga. Bob was retired from the TVA after 40 years employment. He was a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Bob loved his family so much with his grandchildren being the light of his life. He spent countless hours watching cartoons with his precious Giana, Graeme, Katie and Andrew. He had so much patience with them as they could do no wrong in his eyes. Giana was his “Darling Little Angel”, Katie was “Pop Pop’s Princess”, Graeme was “Grandfathers’s Little Man” and Andrew was “Pop Pop’s Buddy”. Bob was an avid sports fan. He loved his Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. He also loved and supported the local Elizabethton Cyclones and Milligan Buffaloes, watching his son, Patrick play basketball and baseball. Bob loved his son fiercely and never missed a game. He helped pioneer youth soccer in Elizabethton and later coached Little League as baseball was his passion and he had a huge heart for the kids. Bob made a lasting impact on the young men he coached with many of them seeing him as a “second dad”. He was very much loved and appreciated for the time and effort he put into youth activities. Bob will never be forgotten….forever in our hearts.Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Tolley Gould; his son, Patrick D. Gould and his wife, Keisha of Rutherfordton, NC; his step-son, Larry Keplinger and his wife, Holly of Jonesborough; a sister, Janet DeNoia of Little Silver, NJ; his grandchildren, Giana Gould, Graeme Gould, Katie Keplinger and Andrew Keplinger; also several nieces and nephews.Funeral services for Bob will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 4, 2019 in the Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E.
