Ricky G. Hall

(Ricky G. Hall, 61, 1526 Southside Road, Elizabethton is now touring that Heavenly City. He passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Hall was a native of Johnson City and had moved to Elizabethton in 1998. He was a son of the late Hayden and Edna Coleman Hall. Mr. Hall retired from the V.A. Medical Center after 30 years of service. He was a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Marines. Rick enjoyed fishing, cooking, working on his truck, television and most of all his family. Survivors include his loving wife, Brenda Schetrom Hall; two sons, Joshua Hall and his wife, Erica of Johnson City and Zachary Hall of the home; four sisters, Jane Bradmeuller and her husband, John, Jonesborough, Ann Tipton and her husband, Carl, Mary West and her husband, F.B. all of Johnson City and Judy Storie and her husband, Paris of Jonesborough; a brother, John Hall and his wife, Judy of Johnson City; a special grandson, Luke Miller; four sisters-in-law, Cathy Compton and her husband, Wayne of Gray, Cindy Lafollette, Sherry Sheets and her husband, Bobby all of Johnson City and Debbie Stines and her husband, Roy of Hickory, NC; a brother-in-law, Steve Schetrom and his wife, Joyce of WV; special friends, Robert Saylor, Steve Anderson and Wild Bill West; a special cousin, Charles Combs and his wife, Joyce of Greeneville; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends also survive Rick. The funeral service for Mr. Hall will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Mr. Bobby Sheets officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Also other times at the residence. Graveside service with full Military Honors provided by the Boone Dam VFW Honor Guard assisted by the National Guard will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joshua and Zachary Hall, Aaron and Caleb Sheets, Toby Miller and Wayne Compton. Everyone attending this service is asked to meet at the funeral home Wednesday by 10:30 AM to go in procession to the cemetery.
