Ret. Sgt. Maj. Kenneth C. Hash, U.S. Army, 75, of 1836 Calash Way, Virginia Beach, Virginia departed this life Friday, October 7, 2011 in the Sentura Virginia Beach General Hospital. He was a native of Johnson City and was a son of the late Clinton and Donna McKinney Hash. Mr. Hash was a U.S Army veteran having served his country for 30 years, then retiring from civil service where he served with DeCA, Fort Lee, Virginia. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Gaye Green. Survivors include his wife, Gail Hash of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Terri Rodriguez and her husband, Rene of Parker, FL and Carol Freed and her husband, Brian of Petersburg, VA; two sisters, Jeanette Hartsook, Johnson City and Diane Ingram and her husband, Michael of Jonesborough; his father and mother-in-law, James A. and Fern Kapp of Bradenton, FL; a special friend, Jimmy Destes of North Carolina; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mr. Hash will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 13, 2011 in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Ponder officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in The Monte Vista Memorial Park, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
