Ralph Edward Miller, 76, 1113 Persimmon Ridge Road, Jonesborough passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a son of the late Henry and Pearl Bishop Miller. Mr. Miller was a self-employed painter most of his life. He was a member of the Nolichucky Baptist Church and the Jonesborough Rescue Squad. Mr. Miller was a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a two brothers, Harry Miller and R. J. Miller; four sisters, Ruth Clay, Jackie Hughes, Geraldine Smith and Jean Fugate. Survivors include a sister, Delores Nadine Painter of Johnson City; his pride and joy, Dawn Fillers and Skylar Carter of Gray; special friends, Joe and Betty Fillers; his friends and caregivers, Stormy and Judy Davis of Jonesborough; also his family at Bethel Housing; many nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Mr. Miller will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, July 31, 2015 in the Washington County Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Joey Murdoch officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 until 1:30 PM then proceed to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
