Phyllis G. Price, 77, Johnson City passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at her residence with her family at her side. She was a native of Butler, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late Dewey and Francis Sheets Dugger. Phyllis was retired from Kingsport Press where she had worked for over 30 years. She also had worked with her husband, Jess in the Johnson City Farmers Market for over 20 years. Phyllis was a member of the Church of God. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Depew and two brothers-in-law, Gary Maupin and Wayne Depew. Survivors include her loving husband, Jess Allen Price; a daughter, Glenda Crowe and husband, Terry of Johnson City; two sons, James Price and Joe Price and wife, Sherrie all of Johnson City; a brother, Leonard Dugger and wife, Sandra of Johnson City; a sister, Ruth Maupin of Johnson City; seven grandchildren, Anna Marie Price, Jessica Michelle Price, John Allen Price, Tara Hodge, Alison Slawson, Joshua Cates and Lauren Ladd; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Olivia, Nora Jane, Caleb, Jon Carter and Emilee Grace; special nieces and nephews, Mark Depew, Becca Dugger, Landon and Jennifer Maupin; also several other nieces and nephews. Due to the current guidelines set forth by the CDC all services at this time will be held privately by the Price family. Interment will be in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Phyllis was such a kind lady and always friendly to my family. She always took the time to talk and I felt very comfortable around her. I know she will be missed by all that knew her and especially her family that she loved so dearly. My prayers are with Jess and all her children during this time.
