Phil James Bryant, 60, 160 Kentland Drive, Johnson City passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at his residence. He was a Carter County native and had lived most of his life in Washington County. Mr. Bryant was a son of the late Margaret Edwards Bryant James and Jack Bryant of Georgia. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and attended Calvary Church in Johnson City. Mr. Bryant had worked in maintenance most of his life. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and all sports. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Baldwin Bryant; his father and step-mother, Jack and Ruby Bryant of Georgia; a daughter, Layla Bryant, GA; a son, Jeremiah Bryant, California; three step-sons, Luke Evans of the home, Adam Evans and his wife, Jessica of Texas and Jacob Evans of Missouri; a sister, Camille Bryant Jones of Arizona; a brother, Jack (Buddy) Bryant and his wife Lynn, South Carolina; a brother-in-law, John Baldwin Jr. and his wife Kay of Virginia; his father and mother-in-law, John and Janice Baldwin of VA; three nephews, Bryon Jones and his wife, Perla, Arizona, Cody Bryant and Jordan Baldwin; two nieces, Shontelle Jones Moore and her husband, Don and Alexis Bryant; great nephews, Stormy Jones and Donavan Moore; great nieces, Jasmine Jones and Mika Moore; also may friends and loved ones. Funeral services for Mr. Bryant will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, May 7, 2012 in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Miller officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luke Evans, Vaughn Kaylor, Tony Masucci, John Baldwin Jr., Tony Johnson and Paul. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 noon until the service time. The family would like to extend their thanks to Nonie and Doug of the Caris Hospice Group for their excellent care they provided. Also to Pastor Richard Hilton.
