Peggy Lou (Vance) Shelton

Peggy Lou Shelton, 64, Mars Hill, NC passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 in the CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville, NC. She was a native of Erwin and was a daughter of the late Joe Vance and Carrie Vance Buchanan. Mrs. Shelton was a homemaker and had attended Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Carlie and Tishie Henson Shelton.Survivors include her husband, Jerry Shelton; four children, Aimee Shelton, Christopher Shelton and his wife, Tabitha, Amanda Edwards and her husband, Richard and Michael Shelton all of Mars Hill; two sisters, Maggie Phillips of Burnsville and Jenny McGhee and husband, William of Mars Hill; two brothers, James Vance and wife, Susan of Johnson City and Robert Vance and wife, Christy of Erwin; an aunt, Goldie Foster of Erwin; six grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.A memorial service for Mrs. Shelton will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 3, 2018 in the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Flag Pond with Rev.
