Orion Jude Mitchell

Orion Jude Mitchell, age 4, 180 Bill Garland Road, Johnson City passed away unexpectedly in his mothers arms Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at his residence. Orion was born to Jonas and Kara Hilton Mitchell on June 16, 2011 in Johnson City. He had a vibrant, beautiful soul and was full of energy and laughter. Orion enjoyed light saber battles with his daddy and playing video games and trampoline jumping with his brothers and sister. He enjoyed dancing on his mama's feet in the kitchen. Orion loved making up songs and building "collections". He loved "puppy dog" and Lego's and Batman and especially his cat, "Cindyla". Orion loved visits and stories from his pepa and mema and special "dates" with his Nemo. He was anticipating his fifth birthday and starting kindergarten. Orion was a member of the Fountain of Life Bible Church. Orion was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Robert and Judy Guinn Sr.; his great-great-grandmother, Betty Dempsey; paternal great-grandfathers, Leo Young and Charles Mitchell and a great-aunt, Amy Hilton McKinney. Survivors include his parents, Jonas and Kara Hilton Mitchell of the home; his brothers and sister, Caspian, Hilton, Lochlan, Cordelia and Bellamy Mitchell all of the home; his maternal grandmother, Amy Guinn of Johnson City; maternal grandfather, Richard Hilton II of Johnson City; maternal great-grandparents, Richard and Nancy Hilton of Johnson City; paternal grandmother, Donna Ramirez and husband, Robert of Jonesborough; paternal grandfather, Rick Mitchell of Florida; paternal great-great-grandmother, Mamie Young of Gray; paternal great-great-grandmother, Helen Mitchell of Florida; special aunts and uncles, Courtney and Kody Kirtley of North Dakota, Mamie Hilton, Raven Ramirez, Ellen and Kenny Brummitt, Bugs Dempsey and Lynda Laws; special cousins, La'Darius and Eli Hugley; his close and special friends, Thea Renfro, Aria Lange, Omisha Long and Henry Bashor. Also many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services for Orion will be conducted at 7:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2016 in the Fountain of Life Bible Church, 118 Julie Lane, Johnson City with his uncle, Dr. Vic Young and cousin, Dr. Matt Young officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the church by 10:30 AM to go in procession to the cemetery.
