Ophelia Shoffner

Ophelia Shoffner, 86, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 in the Greystone Health Care Center of Blountville.. She was a native of West Virginia and a daughter of the late Carlie and Lola Spicer McMillan. Mrs. Shoffner had worked many years for the Sullivan County Health Department. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew, Odell and William McMillan and two sisters, Evelyn McMillan and Gladys Ferguson. Survivors include several cousins including, Ester English and Ralph Poe. Graveside service for Mrs. Shoffner will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the McMillan Family Cemetery, Birch View Lane, Piney Creek, North Carolina. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the Greystone Health Care for the wonderful care they provided.
