Mrs. Olivene Dulaney, 86, 225 Dulaney Road, Jonesborough passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a daughter of the late Ollie and Stella Hartsell Burris. Mrs. Dulaney was a member of the Union Church of Christ and attended Eden United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and loved all animals especially her dog, Snoopy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley H. Dulaney in 1992 and an infant sister. Survivors include a daughter, Rita Dulaney and her husband, Howie Waltz of Conesus, New York; a son, Wayne Dulaney and his wife, Julie of Jonesborough; three grandchildren, Alex Dulaney and wife, Elizabeth of Telford, Aimee Lowe and husband, Nathan, Jonesborough and Wesley Dulaney and wife, Kristina of McLeansville, NC; four great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Brooklyn, Madelyn and Paysen Dulaney; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Dulaney will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 14, 2013 in the Eden United Methodist Church, 1620 Mill Springs Road, Jonesborough with the Rev. Jake Herron officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood-Eden Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Breeden, Clifford Huffine, Lawton Saylor, Joey McQueen, Bryan Taylor, David Dulaney, Phil Campbell and Bill Rambo. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Barnett, Walter Huffine, Claude Baudinot, Joe McQueen, Dean Rambo, David Bailey, Victor Leonard, James Leach and Roy Bennett. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 1:30 PM until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Greenwood-Eden Cemetery Fund, C/O Wayne Dulaney, 190 Dulaney Road, Jonesborough, TN 37659, Treasurer. The family would like to offer special thanks to the entire staff of the 2800 unit of the ICU, Johnson City Medical Center for their wonderful care they provided.
