Norman Lee Dean, 65 of Elizabethton passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his residence. He was a native of Cleveland, Ohio and was a son of the late Ivan and Virginia Dean. He was a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Kirk Dean. Survivors include his son, Michael Gardner and wife, Mia of Bristol, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Cameron Gardner and Peyton Gardner of Bristol; brother, Joel Dean of Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews. Graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM.
