Nina June Johnson Williams, age 75, of Johnson City, passed away at her residence on Sunday, June 23, 2013 following a lengthy illness. A native of Chattanooga, TN, she was a daughter of the late John and Estel Hannon. Mrs. Williams worked for 26 years at the Rainbow Corner in Johnson City. She was a very loving and giving woman who sacrificed a lot for others, and she never met a stranger. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel P. Williams, Son Jackie Johnson, and several sisters. Survivors include three sons, Bill Johnson, Glen Johnson, and Joey Johnson, all of Johnson City; Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. A special friend, Beverly Gillette; and other special friends, Betty Layer and her late husband John; two sisters, Callie Johnson and Nanomi Mann. There will be a memorial service for Mrs. Williams scheduled at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice for all of the help and care and to her friends at Hillcrest Pharmacy.
