Morgan Malcolm, age 16, closed her earthly eyes and opened her heavenly eyes at the right hand of our loving Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. She was the beloved daughter of Carey and Jeremy Young and Kenneth Malcolm, and sister to Kayla, Taylor, Hannah, Kiersten, Jacob, Katlin, Emma Grace, and the late Brayden. At 16 years old, her young and tender spirit touched every individual she encountered, from the time she could walk, we knew she was "on fire". Morgan loved the Lord, and carried a gifted spirit that emanated everywhere she went. Morgan was an inspiration to everyone. She found beauty in everyone, light in darkness. She was resilient to adversity and was creative and thoughtful in everything she did. Morgan was outgoing and knew no stranger, she made everyone feel cared for, valued and loved. She was a hugger and was eternally optimistic. Gracefully enthusiastic, she was joyful, outgoing, and these are just a few words used to describe Morgan. She dreamed of becoming an actress and entered the stage in elementary school. She started playing the viola in middle school, and continued to the present and also learned the steel drums. Her favorite instrument was the cello. She would often play the cello and violin music at home because it inspired her. She had a voice of an angel, and spent hours practicing duets and dance routines with her baby sister, Kiersten. Morgan was a student at Dobyns-Bennet High School, where she just finished her sophomore year, where she was on the student council team, Radio Club, Beta Club, and Symphania. She was on the Outcast Racing BMX team, and loved to play airsoft and paintball. She participated in acting as often as possible, including Barter Theater, Lamplight, National American Miss, and assisted in producing several local films. Broadcasting became an exciting hobby and talent. Morgan emanated Christ's love through her thoughtfulness, forgiveness, love, fairness, joyfulness, and resilience. She wanted everyone to feel special, to be fair and kind, to love Jesus, to share Jesus, to challenge themselves and to rise above their surroundings. Morgan's life will have a ripple effect on those that have meet her, and those that have not. Morgan's last earthly gift was given on June 16, 2016 when she blessed 9 people with her earthly body. Her legacy will live on through those she touched both physically and spiritually. A Celebration of life service for Morgan will be conducted in July. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Living Word Church of God, Gray, TN. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.wadugger.com.
