Melissa L. Hayes

Melissa L. Hayes, 40, 105 Crossing Lane, Erwin passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 1, 2013 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was a native of Hendersonville, NC and was a daughter of Evelyn Williamson Garland of Erwin and Matthew and Francine Munn of Candler, NC. Melissa was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey A. Neal and a sister, Lisa Munn. In addition to her parents she is survived by her four children, Michael, Jennifer, Randall and Alycia Blangin all of Erwin; two sisters, Stacy Munn Stefanik of Asheville and Angela Munn Faulkner of Erwin; a step-sister, Sylina Mitchell of Elgin, SC; two half-brothers, Brandon Howell of Limestone and James "Chub" Howell of Erwin; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial service for Melissa will be conducted at 7:00 PM Monday, August 5, 2013 in the Maranatha Tabernacle in Unicoi with Pastor E.L. Wheeler officiating.
