Maude Walters Teague, 98, Jonesborough passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late John Franklin Walters and Viola Bell Miller Walters. Mrs. Teague was a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Teague in 2000; two sons, Richard Marvin Teague and Scott Oran Teague; a sister, Sara Walters and a brother, Sherman E. Walters.Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Teague of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Robert Jack Teague and wife, Ora of Jonesborough and Charles Teague and wife, Carol of Richmond, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Andrew Teague, Nancy Jarrous, Michelle Livingston, Jason Teague, Byron Teague, Robert Steven Teague and Scott Orion Teague; great-grandchildren, Colin, Aidan, Marcus, Alice, Evelyn, Kate and Weston Teague and Joey Webb; special nephew, David Harrell.Funeral services for Mrs. Teague will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2019 at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 4755 Cherokee Road, Jonesborough with Pastor Ed Blair officiating. Graveside services will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Bethesda United Methodist Church Men’s Group. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family will receive friends at Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home, Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made in her name to Bethesda United Methodist Church Building Fund. I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Recently I lost my dear mother,
and found comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 -
"The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away
the tears from all faces." Also at Revelation 21 verse 4 we find God's
