Mary Sue Walters, 67, 372 Sliger Road, Jonesborough passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a daughter of the late George and Flossie Michaels Feathers. Mrs. Walters was a homemaker and a member of New Victory Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Cash and Thelma McInturff; three brothers, Donald, Robert and Orville Feathers. Survivors include her husband, Frank W. Walters; four daughters, Donna Edwards and husband John of Jonesborough, Cathy Crews and husband Tommy of Jonesborough, Merrisa Malone and husband Rick of Midway and Kristy Brackins and husband James of Limestone; a brother, Charles Feathers and his wife Phyllis of Chuckey; two sisters, Barbara Welch of Bristol, VA and Phyllis Presley of Johnson City; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Walters will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, October 22, 2012 in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Dugger officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Jonesborough. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:30 PM until the service hour. The family would also like to give special thanks to the entire nursing staff of the Johnson City Medical Center 2800 Intensive Care Unit.
