Marsha Carol Salyer

Marsha Carol Salyer, 63, of Blountville passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in the Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a native of Johnson City and was a daughter of Thomas and Louise Godsey Hartman. Mrs. Salyer had worked for Superior Incorporated. She was a Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Swanner; her second husband, David Salyer; a brother, Walter Hartman and two sisters, Lisa Hartman and Pauletta Loos. Survivors include a son, Douglas B. Swanner and his wife, Jennifer of Hamptonville, NC; two brothers, Eddie Hartman and wife, Sharon of Jonesborough and Mike Hartman and wife, Patti of Unicoi; a sister, Judy Dodds and husband, Lester of Blountville; three grandchildren, Andrea Swanner of Nashville, Whitney and Johnathon Swanner both of Virginia; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Salyer will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
