Margaret Tipton Woodby, 80, 1320 W. Lynwood Circle, Johnson City went home to be with the Lord, Thursday July 30, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Unicoi County and was a daughter of the late William McKinley and Myrtle Moore Tipton. Mrs. Woodby was retired after 38 years from Simmons-Herndon-Johnson-Coleman- Brading and McKee Law Office. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Jack Woodby Sr.; a daughter, Sheri Tesnear; a son, Bobby Jack Woodby Jr; also twelve brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Guinn Bulla and husband, Rick of Johnson City and Jennifer Jones and husband, Kenny of Blountville; two sisters, Barbara Brown of Johnson City and Ruth Taylor of Augusta, GA; three brothers, Ronnie Tipton of Unicoi, Alvin Tipton of Atlanta and Doyle Gene Tipton of Unicoi; three grandchildren, Halley Guinn, Sheanina Rice and Shonathon Jones; other grandchildren, Joy Lee Veach and Angela Dawn Tesnear; four great-grandchildren, Ariyah Jones, Taylor Moretz, Sherry Veach and Joshua Tipton; a great-great-grandson, Joshua Tipton and his son, Bentley; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Woodby will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in the chapel of Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with the Rev. David Charles Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Private family graveside services will be held in Roselawn Memorial Park. For those that would like to send flowers the family suggests flowers that can be planted in her garden. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Greystone Health Care Center for their wonderful care and compassion they provided.
