Madeleine Elizabeth Johnson

Madeleine Elizabeth Johnson, Johnson City passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 in the Ivy Hall Nursing Home, Elizabethton. She was a native of Elk Park, NC and was the daughter of the late Flossie Johnson. Ms. Johnson retired from North American Rayon and the Bemberg plants. She was a member of the Downtown Christian Church in Johnson City. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lou Ellen Johnson. Ms. Johnson is survived by many cousins, including Jean Hill and Larry Johnson of Oak Ridge, TN, Marie Deloach of Elizabethton and Don Johnson and his wife Holly of Johnson City, who have been her primary caregivers for many years. She is also survived by special friends and caregivers, Betty Stapleton, Lynn Wagner and Hazel Weaver. Private services and burial will be at the cemetery at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Elk Park, NC at a later date. Condolences may be made online at www.wadugger.com.
