Lucille Barlow Carver, 93, 2417 Louise Street, Johnson City passed away Sunday, January 4, 2016 at her residence. She was a native of Unicoi and was a daughter of the late Robert and Addie Woodby Bailey. Mrs. Carver was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She was an outgoing person, loved to travel and loved people. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Barlow; two brothers, Bill and Jack Bailey; three sisters, Dolly Archer, Polly Honeycutt and Maebelle Hagy. Survivors include a son, Robert Barlow of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Robert Barlow Jr., Christopher Barlow, Jason Barlow, Rhonda Barlow and Kristen Barlow; special friends, Sonja Ingram of Johnson City and Beverly Bailey of Abingdon, VA; also several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Mrs. Carver will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park with Pastor Larry Dugger officiating. The family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City Wednesday from 11:30 to 12:30 PM then proceed to the cemetery for the service. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. Visitation: Wednesday January 6 2016 - 11:30 to 12:30 Services: Wednesday 1:00 PM Interment: Monte Vista Memorial Park
