Lizzie Mae Bailey

Mrs. Lizzie M. Bailey, 93, formerly of 408 Hamilton Street, Johnson City passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She was a native of Chase City, VA and had lived in Washington County many years before moving to Harrisonburg. Mrs. Bailey attended Greenwood Baptist Church in Johnson City. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry Van Bailey in 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Ann Goins and Joyce Bailey; a son, Tony Bailey; grandchildren, Randy and Charles Goins, Sandra Miller, Stacey and Stephanie Bailey. a special niece, Leota Letterman of Telford; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Mrs. Bailey will be conducted at 4:00 PM Friday, November 28, 2014 in the Evergreen Cemetery, Erwin with Pastor Harold McNabb officiating. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 3:50 PM. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
