Lisa Ann Fields, 48, 309-B W. Fifth Avenue, Watauga went home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 14, 2013 at her residence. She was a native of Johnson City and was a daughter of James Perkins of Johnson City and the late Mary Blevins Collette. Mrs. Fields had worked in the Hotel industry in housekeeping before her illness. She was a member of the Upper Room Family Worship Center. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by a brother, James Eddie Perkins. Survivors include her husband, James Calvin Fields Jr.; her father, James Perkins and his wife, Ruby of Johnson City; two sons, Jason and David Szabo of Carter County; a sister, Karen Cretsinger of Johnson City; two step-brothers; four step-sisters; mother and father-in-law, James and Louise Fields of Johnson City; special friends, Tina McGee, Wendy Smith and Sherry Humphrey; also several aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Funeral services for Mrs. Fields will be conducted Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 2:30 PM in the Washington County Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastors Randy English and Richard Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM then go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Hartley, Robert Hickman, Stevie and Thomas Self, Rick Norris and Brian Briggs. The family would like to give special thanks to the Amedisys Hospice Group including, Brenda, Mary and Shaun for their wonderful care they provided. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
