Linda Gale East

Linda G. East, 70, 152 Stockyard Road, Telford went home to be with the Lord and her husband, "Pete" Sunday, October 19, 2014 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Bluefield, WV and a daughter of Bill Trail of Bluefield and the late Annis Turpin Trail. Mrs. East attended Telford Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis "Pete" East in 2005; a son, Rod Johnston; a sister, Connie Snow and a grandson, Ryan Johnston. Survivors In addition to her father include two sons, Scott Johnston and his wife, Debbie of Telford and Joe Johnston and his wife, Mary of Athens, WV; a sister, Patty Harless and husband, John of Tomball, TX; five grandchildren, Josh and Shaun Johnston of Telford and Steven, Jared and Uriah of Athens, WV; two nephews, Will Harless, Tomball, TX and Keith Snow of Beckley, WV; a grand nephew, Alan Snow of Beckley; her mother-in-law, Vivian East of Princeton, WV and a sister-in-law, Louise Bailey and husband, Paul of Ripple Mead, VA. Funeral services for Mrs. East will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the Telford Baptist Church, Old State Route 34, Telford, TN with Rev. Jimmie Rogers and Rev. Buddy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the Telford Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the nurses on the 7500 and 5500 wing of the Johnson City Medical Center for their kindness and wonderful care they provided.
