Letha Louise Chandler, 76, 901 E. Myrtle Avenue, Johnson City passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 after a lengthy illness at the residence of her nephew. She was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a daughter of the late Roy and Ollie Buckingham Chandler. Miss Chandler retired from the Johnson City Medical Center where she had worked as a Dietician. She attended Antioch Baptist Church in Johnson City. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jess Hopkins; sister-in-law, Betty Carr. Survivors include a sister, Mary Ruth Hopkins and a brother, Robert Leroy Chandler both of Johnson City; a nephew of whom she made her home with, Michael Chandler and his daughter, April McCall; two nieces, Elisa A. Britt of Johnson City and Donna Chandler of California; several great nieces and great nephews. A memorial service under the direction of the church for Miss Chandler will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in the Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Pete Tackett officiating.
