Mrs. Katherine H. Phillips, 74, 205 Alan Street, Johnson City passed away at her residence Monday, April 15, 2013. She was a native of Carter County and was a daughter of the late Tennessee Blevins and Gertie Garland Blevins Malone. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Phillips in 1976; three sons, Gene Lewis Tester, Porta Lee Tester and David Allen Tester; a granddaughter, Debra Kay Tester; five sisters, Helen Gregg, Bessie Dixon, Dorothy Childress, Gladys Clark and Maxie Ledbetter. Survivors include two daughters, Gertie May Goforth, Johnson City and Della Gilliam and her husband, Randy of White Sulphur Springs, WV; two sons, Robert Jack Tester and wife, Debra of Pennsylvania and James Phillips and wife, Becky of Kingsport; a brother, Robert Blevins and a sister, Trina East and husband, Charles all of Georgia; ten grandchildren, Kimberly Brandon, Tina Lopez, Charles Goforth, Elizabeth Treadway, David Dixon, Dalton Phillips, Mykala Phillips, Jayson Phillips, Robert Tester and Carter Phillips; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Tammy Loar and Cindy Tester; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Phillips will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday, April 20, 2013 in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with the Pastor Randy Gilliam officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service hour. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Jonesborough. Pallbearers will be Charles Goforth, Joshua and Isaac Gilliam, Allen Lopez, Jayson Phillips, Jerry Brandon II and Lewis Childress. Visitation: Saturday April 20 2013 - 11:00 to 12:00 noon Services: Saturday April 20 2013 - 12:00 noon Interment: Fairview Cemetery - Jonesborough TennesseeN
