Katherine Jean Cooper

Katherine Jean Cooper, 99, Unicoi went home to be with Jesus, Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at her residence. She was a native of Nashville, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late Ella Gladys Mathes. Katherine was a graduate of Lipscomb College. She enjoyed working puzzles and gardening. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil V. Cooper and a daughter, Kay Cooper. Survivors include her granddaughter, Debbie Arrowood and Doug Mann of Unicoi; special friends and caregivers, Pat Gibson and Tina Bradley both of Unicoi. Services for Katherine will be conducted at 2:00 Pm Saturday, November 26, 2022 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will follow in the Cooper Family Cemetery, Unicoi. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
