Julie Ann Garland Cole

Julie Ann Garland Cole, 48, 1606 E. Fairview Avenue, Johnson City passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Johnson City and was a daughter of Shirley Garland Hartley of Johnson City and the late Roy S. Garland. Julie was a Baptist by faith and was a homemaker. She loved her family and spending time with her granddaughter. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her step-father, Paul Hartley; a sister, Linda Mae Garland Davis and a step-sister, Rebecca Peters. Survivors include her mother, Shirley Garland Hartley of Johnson City; two sons, Willie Joe Cole of Florida and Jeffrey Cole of Greeneville; a granddaughter, Olivia Sue Gouge; a brother, Roy David Garland of Johnson City; four aunts, Elizabeth Sparks and husband, Don, Patricia Miller and husband, John, Brenda Avery and husband, Tim and Lavena Mae Sell; an uncle, Cecil Bowman; her best friend, Roger Dalton of Johnson City; her dog, Maggie Mae; also several cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Julie will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the Washington County Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Roy Yelton officiating.
