Joyce Ann Medley Blair

Joyce Ann Medley Blair, 66, 81 Charleston Square #45, Johnson City passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 at her residence. She was a native of Spruce Pine, NC and had lived in Johnson City most of her life. Mrs. Blair was a daughter of the late Eugene and Maggie Haynes Tolley. She was a member of the Wayside Baptist Church where she sang in the Choir. Joyce had also sung with several gospel quartets and was a member of the Johnson City Grand Squares where she was active until her illness. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Robert Medley in 1993; a son, Robert Allen Medley in 2010; two sisters, Mildred Woody and Dorothy Tolley. Survivors include her husband, Jonathan Scott Blair of the home; a son, David Lee Medley and his wife, Michelle of Johnson City; twelve grandchildren, Kara, Sandra, Christopher, Matthew, Kirsten, Cheyenne, Joseph, Jamis, Wesley, Maria, Jessica and Ricky; two special nieces, Sue Correll and Lora Patrick; her special little lady, Breanne and her special little man, William Correll; special friends, CC Hartsaw and John Bomar; several other nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Joyce will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, February 13, 2012 in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Hill and Rev. Jack Maupin officiating. Internment will follow in the Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:00 PM until the service time.
