Joseph Raymond “Ray” Willis Jr., 73, Johnson City passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022. He was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a son of the late Joseph Raymond Willis Sr.. Ray had worked as a Master Barber. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Raymond Willis III. Survivors include his mother, Rachael Joyce Cole Cave; his brothers and sisters, Dennis Willis and wife, Donna of Johnson City, Ronnie Willis and wife, Scarlett of Fall Branch, Donna Smith and husband, Doug of Elizabethton, Connie Greenwell of Louisville, KY, Steve Willis of Erwin and Michael Willis of Unicoi; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services for Ray will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 22, 2022 in the Washington County Memory Gardens with Dennis Brian Willis officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers.
