Jonathan Troy Miller

Troy Miller, 50, 200 Lonesome Dove Lane, Elizabethton passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 25, 2013 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was a native of Johnson City and was a son of Harley and Sarah Ann King Miller of Johnson City. Mr. Miller was employed by the Johnson City Country Club where he worked in maintenance. He enjoyed fly-fishing, hiking, gun collecting and carpentry, especially working on his house. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edgar and Ida Mae Bunton Miller and his maternal grandfather, Elmer King. In addition to his mother and father he is survived by a son, Jacob Zin Miller of Johnson City; three brothers, James Miller, Johnson City, Sandy Miller and wife, Amy Treadway, Sulphur Springs and Jody Miller of Johnson City; a sister, Patty Jo Davis and her husband, Mike of Limestone; his maternal grandmother, Anna Bell King of Johnson City; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Miller will be conducted at 2:30 PM Friday, February 1, 2013 in the Washington County Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Steve Dingus officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Emig, Mike Davis, Sandy Miller, Josh Nave, Robbie Turbyfill, Scott Nichols and Caleb. The family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City Friday from12:00 to 2:00 PM. then go in procession to the cemetery.
