John Stevens Crumb

John Stevens Crumb, 85, Johnson City passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Johnson City. He was a native of and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a son of the late James and Ossie Sailor Crumb. Mr. Crumb had worked in maintenance most of his life and had retired last year after working for Wal-Mart. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was a member of the Calvary Church in Boones Creek. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Margaret Snapp Crumb in 2013 and a sister, Frances Brown. Survivors include two sons, John Crumb and his wife, Faith of Woodstock, Georgia and Eric Crumb of Johnson City; a daughter, Frances Godfrey and her husband, Bill Godfrey Jr. of Johnson City; three grandsons, Adam, Nicholas and Zachary Godfrey; two step-grandsons, William and Christopher Godfrey; also several nieces and nephews and his Wal-Mart family. Graveside services for Mr. Crumb will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 5, 2018 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E.
