I attempted to add several pictures of John and I together back when we were a little younger. I am so sorry for your loss and my heart truely aches.  John was the kindest, most respectful gentleman I have ever had the privilege of knowing. We met in high school and caught up years later, where we became a little closer. We traveled to Missouri where we camped out with friends and went on a canoe trip down the Missouri River. I regret that we never reconnected much after that. He called me one night crying and asking me and my father, who was a Minister,  for prayer for Kurtis.  I sat with him a couple nights at the hospital just before they were transferred to Knoxville.  I loved him and often prayed for him. I am so sorry that I will be unable to attend his service today, but feel since I am experiencing flu like symptoms, It would be better not to pass my germs along.  Just know my heart is there with you and I am praying for your family.

We are so very sorry for your loss! Feelings of despair can be overwhelming at this time. We pray that “the Father of tender mercies, and the God of all comfort” (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4) will give you peace of mind and comfort in your hearts. Acts 24:15 says that “there is going to be a resurrection” and Job 14:14, 15 shows that God has a longing to resurrect his friends! We are so grateful that our loving God looks forward, as much as we do, to reuniting us with our loved ones.
